Our Mission
Temple Conservative Union (TCU) is a student organization at Temple University focused on creating a space for open dialogue, free speech, and meaningful conversation. While we are rooted in conservative principles, we are not a Republican club and are not tied to any political party. In fact, we are critical of the limitations of the two-party system and believe students should be able to think independently rather than feel boxed into party labels. TCU is built on the idea that discussion should be open, not controlled or restricted.
Our mission is to encourage intellectual diversity and provide a platform for real conversations on political, economic, and social issues. We want to move away from echo chambers and toward honest dialogue—where people can disagree, challenge each other, and still engage respectfully. TCU is committed to being inclusive of all viewpoints and creating a space where people can speak freely without fear of being shut down.
We plan to host a range of events throughout the year, including weekly meetings, open forums, and structured debates on current issues. TCU will also bring in guest speakers such as political commentators, policy experts, and professionals from various fields to give students direct access to different ideas and experiences. In addition, we aim to organize networking opportunities, trips to events like CPAC, and collaborations with other student organizations to promote broader conversations across campus.
Supported By You
TCU is supported by students, alumni, and donors who believe in protecting free speech and fostering a strong conservative presence on campus. Contributions help fund events, bring in speakers, support student opportunities, and expand our outreach. With your support, we can continue building a community where conservative students at Temple feel welcomed, represented, and empowered.
